Jakub Kiwior isn’t happy with his role at Arsenal and could still leave this summer, Arsenal Insider understands.

The Pole impressed in the run-in last season for the Gunners, although he finished the campaign having started just ten Premier League games.

Despite not featuring that regularly, his end-of-season form has sparked interest from a host of clubs in Europe, with the likes of Napoli and AC Milan linked with the defender.

Arsenal have now added Cristhian Mosquera to their ranks, and this acquisition could further limit Kiwior’s playing time next term, potentially prompting him to depart before the summer window closes.

Jakub Kiwior isn’t happy with his role at Arsenal

Since signing for Arsenal from Spezia in 2023, Kiwior has started just 26 Premier League games.

Consistently behind Gabriel Magalhaes in Mikel Arteta’s estimation, the 25-year-old has only been granted opportunities when the Brazilian has been injured, or out of position at left-back.

With Gabriel returning to action soon, Riccardo Calafiori also in the mix and Mosquera arriving, it’s possible that Kiwior plays an even more peripheral role next season.

Mosquera is expected to play significant minutes, likely meaning the Poland international is viewed as the fourth-choice centre-back at the Emirates.

Transfer expert Graeme Bailey told Arsenal Insider that Kiwior isn’t satisfied with this role, and that there’s still a ‘decent chance’ he leaves this summer.

“I don’t think he [Kiwior] is leaning towards staying, necessarily,” he said.

“I think it depends what is out there in terms of deals and stuff. Arsenal will want a certain amount.

“He’s not happy being third choice, he doesn’t want that to be his role, and with Gabriel, Calafiori and Mosquera even potentially ahead of him, he’s not high up the pecking order.

“I still think there’s a decent chance Kiwior gets his move.”

Arsenal should make a significant profit on Kiwior

Arsenal paid around £20 million for Kiwior two and a half years ago.

Having now made over 50 appearances for the Gunners, and having improved tenfold in that time, the centre-back should be worth a lot more in today’s market.

Kiwior impressed in Arsenal’s Champions League campaign, showcasing his talent to Europe with two ‘exceptional’ displays against Real Madrid.

These outings alone should have seen his value rise, and given his relatively modest reported wages, Arsenal should expect to make a significant profit on the player.

While interest mostly emanating from Italy is always likely to cap how significant a fee can be garnered, the Gunners shouldn’t accept anything less than £25 million for the talented defender.
