Arsenal fans are in a state of euphoria as the club close in on the signing of Eberechi Eze.
Kai Havertz has sustained a knee injury and whilst the extent of the problem is still unknown, Andrea Berta has acted quickly to prevent the Gunners being short in attack once again this season.
Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Eze from Crystal Palace, stealing a march on their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs fans are devastated on losing Eze and the Gunners can now look forward to witnessing the England international’s wonderful ability at the Emirates. The transfer could give Arsenal their very own Paul Pogba.

Eberechi Eze to follow in Paul Pogba’s footsteps of re-joining club he was released from
Pogba was released from Manchester United back in 2012 and was snapped up by Italian giants Juventus, where he made 190 appearances and earned a reputation as one of the best midfielders in the world.
Manchester United paid £89m to re-sign Pogba back in the summer of 2016 and Arsenal can now repeat that trick with the signing of Eze.
The 27-year-old was released from the Hale End academy at 13 years old before building his career at QPR and Crystal Palace.
With Havertz sidelined and the Gunners still looking for that special player in the final third, Eze now has the chance to return to his boyhood club.
Theo Walcott said Eze should have signed for Spurs but Berta has moved swiftly and the England international is now set to re-join the red side of North London in a £68m deal.
What will Eberechi Eze improve at Arsenal?
Eze is not a replacement for Havertz and has been brought to the club to add some much-needed inventiveness and dynamism to Arteta’s attack.
It is hoped that Eze will help to bring the best out of new centre forward Viktor Gyokeres but can also form a partnership with Martin Odegaard.

Much of the creative burden at the Gunners has fallen on Odegaard’s shoulders and the Norwegian struggled to cope with the pressure last season.
Bukayo Saka will be another player licking his lips at the prospect of Eze joining the side with the England international’s range of passing and vision ready to come to the fore.
