Arsenal are looking to sell some players before making a move for their primary target, Eberechi Eze.
The Gunners have conducted a lot of business already this summer, acquiring six players for almost £200 million.
Viktor Gyokeres was the latest to arrive in North London, bought from Sporting CP for £63 million in late July.
Andrea Berta is now looking to balance the books a little by shifting some squad members who are surplus to requirements.
Once they’ve done this, Arsenal are expected to push for the signing of Eze, who Crystal Palace value at around £68 million.

Galatasaray are considering a move for Leandro Trossard
The likes of Fabio Vieira, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Reiss Nelson are expected to leave the Emirates in the coming weeks.
All on the periphery of Mikel Arteta’s squad, none of these players will command a significant fee.
Thus, Arsenal may be forced to cash in on a more valued member of Arteta’s ensemble before they launch a concerted effort to sign Eze.
The ‘phenomenal’ Leandro Trossard has been linked with a move away, and a new potential suitor has emerged for the Belgian.
According to Turkish journalist Nevzat Dindar, Galatasaray have identified Leandro Trossard as a potential option, in case star man Baris Alper Yilmaz departs this summer.
Yilmaz scored 14 goals across all competitions for the European giants last season, and has subsequently attracted interest from several clubs, including Tottenham.
The Turkey international is a technical left-winger and Galatasaray view Trossard as a direct replacement, who can offer similar things to their current talisman.
It remains to be seen how much Arsenal would demand for the 30-year-old, although given the Super Lig side have spent big on Victor Osimhen this summer, the Gunners may look to charge them over the odds as they’ve demonstrated their willingness to outlay substantial fees.

Arsenal must seize any opportunity to sell Leandro Trossard this summer
Trossard has been a great servant for Arsenal.
Signed for just £27 million in January 2023, the Belgium international has scored 28 goals in 124 appearances for the Gunners.
That said, he showed signs of decline last season, and Arsenal must upgrade on him if they are to make significant strides next term.
Reports have suggested that Arsenal can sign Eze if they sell Trossard, and thus, Berta has even more reason to sanction the latter’s departure.
| Statistical Comparison 2024/25 (League Only) | ||
| Stat | Eze | Trossard |
| Appearances | 34 | 38 |
| Goals | 8 | 8 |
| Assists | 8 | 7 |
| Shots per 90 | 3.48 | 2.55 |
| Expected Goals per 90 | 0.36 | 0.25 |
| Key Passes per 90 | 2.01 | 1.45 |
| Expected Assists per 90 | 0.22 | 0.22 |
| Successful Take-ons per 90 | 2.33 | 1.34 |
As shown by the data above, Eze offers similar things to Trossard, but at a higher level.
The Palace man is a more effective dribbler, better at getting shots off and more creative, making him a huge squad upgrade that shouldn’t be too difficult for Berta to pull off.
