Arsenal’s transfer window is already beginning to heat up.
Arsenal have reached an agreement for Viktor Gyokeres with his current club Sporting Lisbon according to reports in the Portuguese media.
Centre forward is not the only position Andrea Berta is looking to strengthen this summer as Arsenal are looking at goalkeeper alternatives after Joan Garcia’s potential move has stalled in recent weeks.
Nico Williams is Mikel Arteta’s dream target for the wide areas but Arsenal fans are convinced that a transfer twist is on the horizon after Real Madrid’s latest activity.

Real Madrid interested in signing Nico Williams
According to Spanish media outlet Marca, Real Madrid are ‘seriously studying’ the possibility of activating the release clause of Williams.
Xabi Alonso is set to join Madrid in the summer after Carlo Ancelotti’s departure and wants to bring a freshness to a side that has struggled this campaign.
The report claims Real Madrid like the physical profile of Williams and see him as a player that can emerge as competition to Barcelona’s devastating duo of Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
His release clause stands at €58m and Arteta could now face a tough task in luring the winger to England with an offer as big as Madrid also on the table.
Arsenal fans convinced Rodrygo is coming to the Emirates Stadium
However, Arsenal supporters have chosen to see the positive light of Madrid’s interest in Williams and now believe that the transfer domino effect will take place.
Rodrygo is expected to leave Real Madrid amid interest from the Gunners and fans have taken to X to voice their opinion over that possibility.
One fan wrote: “I mean I’m taking Rodrygo over Nico Williams everyday of the week.”
Another fan wrote: “Whatever it takes to bring Rodrygo to Arsenal is worth it. A player with a champion mentality is what would lift this squad up. Play him on the LW and Gyokeres up front and Arsenal are winning the double. Real Madrid can take Nico Williams.”
One Arsenal supporter did throw some doubt into a potential stumbling block for Rodrygo, they wrote: “Rodrygo is better than Nico but I don’t think Arsenal can afford to pay € 80 Million.”
Wide options to rival Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli are a priority for the Gunners this summer, already it is shaping up to be a transfer window full of twists and turns.
