Arsenal still have several exits they need to sort before the transfer window closes on Friday, and also need to resolve Aaron Ramsdale’s future.
Ramsdale looks set to leave after losing his starting spot to David Raya last year, but time is running out for the 26-year-old to secure a move.
Several clubs were in talks with Ramsdale over a move, but it appeared that they were not willing to pay Arsenal’s asking price, and were keen on loan moves instead.
Arsenal softened their stance to engage in talks over a loan move, but only if it included an option to buy, amid talks with Ajax, Wolves and Southampton.
However, there have now been fresh developments at both Premier League sides interested, which will have a major impact on his future.

Wolves agree deal for Sam Johnstone despite Aaron Ramsdale links
David Ornstein has now revealed that Wolves are set to agree a deal to sign Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone for around £10m.
Johnstone will become their new number-one goalkeeper, and his asking price has undercut Ramsdale’s. Molineux is therefore no longer an option for Ramsdale this summer.
Wolves were keen on a move for Ramsdale to replace Jose Sa, but they have chosen his England teammate in Johnstone as a cheaper, and more experienced option. However, there is still hope for Ramsdale.
Southampton deal for former Arsenal target Justin Bijlow collapses
Southampton looked set to sign Justin Bijlow despite previous links between Arsenal and the Feyenoord goalkeeper.
This would have ruled Southampton out of the running to sign Ramsdale despite interest in the Arsenal goalkeeper, but they were dealt a blow as Bijlow failed his medical, meaning the deal collapsed.
Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that Ramsdale is now back on the agenda for Southampton, following the collapse of this deal.
“Southampton will assess options for GK position after Bijlow deal off. Aaron Ramsdale remains on the list but Arsenal want loan with obligation to buy clause… …as they already 100% agreed on personal terms with Espanyol GK Joan García. Waiting,” he posted on X.
It now appears that if Southampton can agree a deal with an obligation to buy, that they are the likeliest destination for Ramsdale this summer, with Wolves out of the picture.
