Arsenal are close to completing their seventh signing of the summer, with Eberechi Eze on the verge of sealing a dream move to the Emirates.
Eze was close to joining Tottenham, who swooped in and pursued a deal for the Crystal Palace talisman after the Gunners had reportedly cooled their interest.
However, Kai Havertz then suffered a serious knee injury, prompting Arsenal to return to the table for the England international.
Andrea Berta swiftly agreed a deal with Palace, and Eze will now complete his medical on Friday morning ahead of a £68 million switch.

Eberechi Eze could feature for Arsenal against Leeds on Saturday
Eze will play his final match for Crystal Palace on Thursday night at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles entertain Norwegian side Fredrikstad in the first leg of their Europa Conference League play-off match.
The England international will be eager to end his spell in South London on a high note, and help put Oliver Glasner’s side in a commanding position to secure qualification for the League Phase ahead of next week’s second leg in Norway.
The Arsenal-bound man will then travel to the Sohba Realty training ground in Hertfordshire on Friday morning to complete his medical.
According to the Standard, the Gunners face a race against time to register Eze before he’s ineligible for the Leeds clash in N5 on Saturday.

He needs to complete his medical and registration before 12pm on Friday for him to be able to feature against the Yorkshire outfit.
While this is certainly possible, it’ll stretch the Gunners’ medical department, unless they’re able to conduct the medical at a very early hour on Friday.
If the Leeds encounter does come too soon, then Eze will likely make his Arsenal debut away at Anfield against Liverpool on August 31st.

Arsenal should save Eberechi Eze for Anfield
Declan Rice reportedly spoke glowingly of Eze to Mikel Arteta earlier this summer, praising the player’s commitment and desire to win major silverware with his boyhood club.
With Eze eager to get going in his pursuit of major honours with his dream side, he’d be forgiven for wanting to dive straight in to feature against Leeds.
However, he’s also set to play on Thursday night, and thus, throwing him into the game against Daniel Farke’s team might not be a wise decision from a fitness perspective.

While the Gunners supporters will be desperate to see their new man in action as soon as possible, less than 48 hours’ recovery time between matches isn’t ideal.
Thus, Arsenal should save him and subsequently unleash him against Liverpool at Anfield next week.
