Arsenal’s players are now back in the UK following their pre-season training camp in Spain.
Mikel Arteta’s squad are preparing to fly out to Asia as they step up preparations for the new season with a fixture against AC Milan now very much on the horizon.
Thoughts will also be centred around the club’s transfer activity and after already getting three new faces in the door, Andrea Berta hopes to complete deals for Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera soon.
Player sales are also a major priority for the Gunners and their latest asking price for one of their players shows that lessons are not being learned from past mistakes.

Arsenal set £20m Fabio Vieira asking price amid Parma interest
According to the Times, Arsenal have set an asking price of £20m for Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira this summer.
Parma are interested in Vieira, which could see the 25-year-old reunite with former Gunners coach Carlos Cuesta.
Porto did not want to sign Vieira following a season-long loan spell which included his participation in the recent FIFA Club World Cup.
With the Gunners seeking further attacking reinforcements, it is imperative that they balance the books and Vieira is one of those players that the club are targeting to offload.
Arsenal must seek Emile Smith Rowe fee for Fabio Vieira
Arsenal sold Emile Smith Rowe for an initial £27m last summer with the deal potentially rising to £34m with add-ons.
Selling players has been an area of concern for the club and Berta should be seeking a fee in the similar region to what Fulham paid for the Hale End star last summer when negotiating for Vieira.
| Arsenal career stats | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Smith Rowe | 115 | 18 | 13 |
| Vieira | 49 | 3 | 10 |
Both players are of similar age and ability, Vieira actually kept Smith Rowe out of the Arsenal team during his first couple of seasons at the club.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain remains Arsenal’s record sale at £35m and whilst it is unlikely they would break that with the departure of Vieira, the Gunners cannot keep selling themselves short when it comes to their own talents.
