Arsenal have decided to sell one of their players for a bargain fee this summer.
The summer transfer window will open in the middle of June, and all eyes will be on who Edu Gaspar and Mikel Arteta will bring to the Emirates Stadium.
However, a number of players could be sold by Arsenal as well, and the Gunners may have to accept big losses on some of them.
Arsenal set Kieran Tierney price tag
Arsenal signed Kieran Tierney from Celtic for £25 million in the summer of 2019.
The Scot became an instant fan favourite at the Emirates. Everyone in and around the club loved him, and he produced a few ‘magnificent‘ performances as well.
However, Tierney really struggled with injuries at Arsenal.
The left-back missed multiple games due to fitness issues every season, and that made him unreliable. Arsenal signed Oleksandr Zinchenko to fix that problem.
Tierney then fell down the pecking order in the 2022/23 season and spent the following campaign in Spain, on loan at Real Sociedad.
The former Celtic man is set to return to the Emirates this summer, but he has no future in North London. He is expected to be sold.
The Sunday Post (page 68, June 9, 2024) reveal that Arsenal are now prepared to sell Tierney for just £10 million this summer.
That’s less than half of what they paid for him five years ago!

Celtic have a different plan to sign Tierney
Tierney was an absolute hero at Celtic.
The defender, a boyhood Hoops fan, won five Scottish League titles and six domestic cups during his time there. He even captained the side.
Celtic fans absolutely love Tierney, and the Scottish giants are keen to bring him back to Parkhead after the European Championships.
However, Arsenal’s £10 million asking price is still reportedly too much for Celtic, which is why they are hopeful of signing him on a season-long loan deal.
Tierney will have two years left on his contract in July, and it will be interesting to see whether the Gunners will let him leave on loan again.
