Arsenal are not desperate to sign a striker by the end of transfer deadline day, Arsenal Insider sources understand.
It comes as the Gunners look to bolster their forward ranks as a mixture of difficulties in front of goal and injuries have hit hard.
Bukayo Saka has a torn hamstring that looks set to sideline him for another month or so, while Gabriel Jesus’ ACL injury will see him miss the rest of the season.
Beyond those concerns, there has been a general difficulty in scoring at times, with open-play problems coming to the forefront.
As a result, Arsenal have been linked with a whole host of strikers, with Mathys Tel the latest transfer link for the Gunners – while a £60million bid for Ollie Watkins was rejected by Aston Villa.
Whether the North London club will get any business over the line before the window slams shut is unclear, but their own stance on the situation has become clearer.

Arsenal stance on Transfer Deadline Day move for striker
Plenty of discussions surrounding which striker Arsenal should sign are swirling around the club in the final hours of the market.
However, as it stands, it seems unlikely that a centre-forward or a winger is likely to make their way through the doors at the Emirates Stadium.
That’s because TBR Football transfer chief Graeme Bailey has told Arsenal Insider that the club are happy to finish the day without a new striker.
It’s claimed that the Gunners are looking at quality over quantity and they won’t be pressured into signing anyone they feel wouldn’t improve the side.
The goal return is also seemingly a factor, with the number scored this campaign highlighting that it isn’t a desperate need for this month in particular.
That’s not to say that the Arsenal hierarchy doesn’t address the situation in the summer market though, with it often being easier to operate in for the top targets.

Is Kai Havertz the answer to Arsenal’s scoring woes?
There has been plenty of criticism for Kai Havertz this season as questions surrounding his goal-scoring capabilities come to the fore.
Last season, Arsenal went through a similar patch of rocky form before the trip to Dubai that seemingly transformed their fortunes.
On their return, Mikel Arteta seemingly fixed the scoring problems he had encountered and Havertz was at the centre of that.
This season, the German international has still had a relatively impressive goal return, considering the arguments leveraged against him being the starting forward.

He showed both elements of his game in Arsenal’s win over Manchester City, lacking the confidence to score in some aspects but still finding the back of the net with other opportunities.
For the rest of the campaign, he may be the answer but long-term there may still be a search to find a new clinical option to partner with him.
