Arsenal are delighted by Piero Hincapie transfer deal as announcement close
Arsenal are close to signing Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen in a huge deal from Bayer Leverkusen this summer.
It’s stated that the move will be a loan with an option to buy, stated to be worth £45 million overall.
The deal for Hincapie opens up an exit for Jakub Kiwior to join Porto, with the incoming star seen as a like-for-like replacement in terms of his position.
With that move likely to be the end of Arsenal’s business, the club have been left very happy with their upcoming signing.
That’s because, according to Football London, Arsenal are “pleased” to secure the deal for Hincapie, and believe he will be an improvement to the squad.
It’s a transfer that adds yet more quality in depth, with a slightly different profile for Arteta to introduce into his team.
Hincapie has incredible speed, which could give another option to the manager in the different phases of the game.

Arsenal have all the tools to succeed under Mikel Arteta now
Arteta is a coach who is tactically flexible, as he likes to have several options to deal with the opposition in front of him.
Whether it’s a certain profile of defender, midfielder or striker, Arsenal have collected plenty of them to have the best chance of winning.
Hincapie adds a new type of defender into the mix, as he is able to play as both a centre-back and a left-back, but he has some top speed.
That may give Arteta a player who can overlap on the left, rather than invert into midfield.
While Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly offer that potential with different skillsets, adding Hincapie to the mix will only give more options to the manager.
It remains to be seen how well the Ecuadorian will fit, but with plenty of games coming up, there will be chances for every Arsenal star to feature.
