Arsenal scouts were in attendance to watch transfer target Benjamin Sesko impress for RB Leipzig against Bayern Munich, ahead of a potential summer switch, Arsenal Insider understands.

The centre-forward is one of many options being assessed by sporting director Andrea Berta, as he considers options to bolster the squad.

Goal scoring has been a clear issue for Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal team, with some big points dropped due to missed chances.

Arsenal have been tracking a transfer for Benjamin Sesko for some time, but were unable to get a deal done over the past year.

This summer opens up a greater chance of Sesko leaving RB Leipzig, with the possibility of an exit on the cards.

With that in mind, the Gunners have been keeping track of the Slovenian international, with the latest scouting mission proving fruitful.

Arsenal scouts among Premier League teams to watch Benjamin Sesko impress in RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich

With the summer transfer window creeping closer by the day, Premier League clubs are gearing up for possible signings they can make to strengthen their squads.

Arsenal are among those showing interest in Sesko as one of those to improve their striker ranks in the weeks ahead.

Arsenal Insider understands that Arsenal scouts were in attendance to watch the 21-year-old impress against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

In a dramatic 3-3 draw, Sesko managed to score a stunning strike just 11 minutes into the match to set up an intense battle.

Discussing the situation surrounding Arsenal watching Sesko over the weekend, transfer expert Graeme Bailey explained the thinking for the Gunners.

“Arsenal were one of the teams watching RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich, not a huge surprise, but the one thing a game like this does is that it gives scouts a chance to see Sesko against top-class opposition, and that is not always the case.

“Yes, they know all about Sesko, but it is just keeping on top of their knowledge and assessment.

“They love the player and nobody knows him better, but obviously Andrea Berta will want updated information as they asses their options for the summer – which do include Sesko.”

Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea also had scouts in attendance, Arsenal Insider understands, but Arsenal are not worried about interest from others and are comfortable with the situation.
