Andrea Berta is in the process of tailoring a new contract to fulfil Bukayo Saka’s needs at Arsenal.
Saka is one of the best players in the world, and Arsenal know it, wanting to keep hold of their academy graduate for years to come.
Sources close to Arsenal Insider understand that Saka is close to signing a new contract, which would make him Arsenal’s highest earner with a wage that is set to exceed £300k-a-week.
Mikel Arteta has a clear plan to retain his best players, with Saka expected to follow Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba by committing his future to the club.

Bukayo Saka is generating transfer interest
One of Berta’s biggest achievements was tying Saliba down to a new contract, as the centre-back was generating transfer interest.
Real Madrid were eager to sign Saliba, but instead, the Frenchman remained at Arsenal, making it clear that he only saw his future in north London.
It’s come to fruition that Saka is in a similar position, as RMC in France are reporting that clubs are looking at the England international.
It’s unsurprising to learn that Saka, who is worth almost £100m, is turning heads, but what is less surprising is his stance on the matter.
Just like Saliba, Saka only wants Arsenal.
RMC states that upon learning of interest from clubs elsewhere, Saka ‘quickly made it clear’ that his preference is to stay at his boyhood club.
The information came as RMC were reporting that Arsenal have agreed a deal in principle to extend the winger’s stay at the Emirates until 2030.
Saka could take a step closer to emulating Tony Adams with Arsenal contract
When Saka made his debut against Vorskla Poltava in 2019, very few would’ve been able to predict where the 24-year-old would now stand.
Arteta sees Saka as one of Arsenal’s strongest leaders, with the academy graduate wearing the armband multiple times this season.
Is Bukayo Saka already an Arsenal legend?
Loyalty in football is hard to come by, but for Saka, his eyes are only on progressing at Arsenal, which could see him follow in the footsteps of Tony Adams.
Adams retired in 2002, having represented only one club in his lifetime, Arsenal, going from an academy product to captaining the Gunners to three league titles over three decades.
The idea of being a ‘one club man’ is fizzling out, but for Saka, it could be his reality, as he’s ready to commit his future to Arsenal in the prime years of his career.
It’s a pleasure to have a player as impressive and as committed as Saka, who joined Arsenal at the age of seven.
