Antoine Semenyo has been of interest to Arsenal for a while now.
The Bournemouth attacker is expected to be one of the biggest names in the January transfer window, with several top clubs chasing him.
Imagine you can sign Antoine Semenyo right now but ONLY if you sell one current Arsenal winger. Who are you shipping out?
The likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have all been linked with a move to sign Semenyo.
The forward can have his pick in the winter window, but his dream move to the Emirates Stadium will not happen next month.
David Ornstein says Antoine Semenyo wanted ‘guarantees’ from Arsenal
Semenyo grew up an Arsenal fan.
The 25-year-old, like Eberechi Eze, dreamed of playing for the Gunners one day, and most Gooners would’ve accepted him in a heartbeat.
In fact, reports have claimed that Arsenal would’ve been Semenyo’s first choice in January, but Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta had different plans.

Arsenal only viewed Semenyo as a target for the summer. David Ornstein has revealed that the Ghanaian wanted ‘guarantees’ that he would be signed in January, but Berta just couldn’t offer that.
For that reason, Arsenal will not be signing him.
Ornstein said on NBC Sports: “Arsenal would’ve presented a really strong possibility. From speaking to the other clubs involved, that’s who were potentially his first choice.
“But they would’ve wanted to do it in the summer, and he would’ve wanted guarantees that they couldn’t provide at this moment in time – strike while the iron is hot and look to do a move now.”
As a result, Semenyo has chosen to join Manchester City in the January transfer window.
How worried are you by Manchester City’s move for Antoine Semenyo?
Which winger should Arsenal sign in the summer instead of Antoine Semenyo?
Before making any new attacking signing, Arsenal will have to offload one of their forwards.
Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia in the past, and those two players will be the likely candidates to be moved on.
If that happens and Semenyo is no longer an option, we think Arsenal should go all out for Kenan Yildiz.
Juventus are struggling to tie the Turk down to a new contract, and there is a genuine chance he will leave them next summer.
Arsenal really like Yildiz, and we think he would be a tremendous signing for them in 2026.
