Arsenal are expected to turn their attention to selling players after securing their sixth summer signing in Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres completed his £63 million move from Sporting last week, joining Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera through the door at London Colney.

Having spent around £200 million and bulked out their squad, some departures will now have to be sanctioned by Andrea Berta to create room and raise funds for one final addition.

The likes of Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Sambi Lokonga, Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus could all make their way out of the North London club in the coming weeks.

Reiss Nelson surely made his final Arsenal appearance against Tottenham

Nelson is one of those on Arsenal’s sell list who could be close to completing a move away from the Emirates.

The winger spent the duration of the 2024/25 season on loan at Fulham, although he only made 12 appearances for the Cottagers due to two significant injury issues.

Fulham want to sign Nelson again, and an agreement between the Gunners and the West Londoners is believed to be close.

Arsenal want to sell the Hale End graduate permanently, while Marco Silva is said to favour another loan deal with an option to buy.

It’s understood that the two parties are likely to compromise and find a solution.

Tottenham beat Arsenal 1-0 in the Gunners’ latest pre-season clash on Thursday, with the Lilywhites securing victory in Hong Kong courtesy of a long-range effort from Pape Sarr.

Leandro Trossard suffered an injury during the game, which forced him to be withdrawn abruptly, and the Belgian was replaced by Nelson with five minutes left to play.

This could be the final time the 25-year-old pulls on an Arsenal shirt, after 16 years on the North London outfit’s books.

Nelson has been described as ‘excellent’ in the past, and Gunners fans will certainly remember the player fondly.

Giving his all across his 90 competitive appearances for Arsenal, the wide forward has not fulfilled his potential in N5 due to injuries, but now has the opportunity to do so at Fulham.

Oleksandr Zinchenko could follow Reiss Nelson to Fulham

Zinchenko is another player Arsenal could garner a significant fee from this summer.

The Ukrainian has fallen out of favour at the Emirates over the last 18 months, with the likes of Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly usurping him in the pecking order.

After early reported interest from the likes of Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan this summer, things went quiet on this front for the left-back.

However, Fulham are now said to be interested in signing Zinchenko, as they line up a double swoop for him and Nelson.

Arsenal will undoubtedly be delighted by this interest from the Cottagers, given they are more likely to be capable of paying a reasonable fee for the player compared to the European clubs that were linked previously.
