Harry Kane is personally ‘campaigning’ to do one thing that would ruin Arsenal’s transfer plan

Harry Kane has inflicted a lot of pain on Arsenal over the years.

The Tottenham Hotspur legend still holds the record for the most goals scored in North London Derbies. He managed to find the net consistently against the Gunners.

Then, after joining Bayern Munich, Kane scored against Arsenal again in the Champions League last season. That played a part in Mikel Arteta’s side getting knocked out of the competition.

Now, the England captain is doing something else that could impact Arteta’s transfer plans at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Harry Kane could ruin Arsenal’s plans to sign Leroy Sane

Leroy Sane has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal over the last few months.

The former Manchester City star has just a few months left on his contract at Bayern Munich. He is on course to becoming a free agent this summer.

Arteta knows Sane very well having worked with him at Manchester City, and that may well be the reason why he wants to bring him to the Emirates.

Arsenal Insider exclusively revealed that Arsenal are in talks with Sane’s representatives over a move in the upcoming summer transfer window.

But now, Kane and Jamal Musiala could ruin it for the Gunners.

That’s according to Christian Falk, who wrote in his Fact Files: “Bayern Munich and Leroy Sane are in talks over a new contract. Sané wants to stay in Munich.

Kane and Musiala are campaigning for him to get a new contract. His chances have improved, as he has performed very well recently. The question that remains: Will Sane accept a reduction in his salary? He currently earns €20 million a year.

“If he does, it will be difficult for the interested Premier League clubs. FC Bayern currently hold the advantage.”

Who should Arsenal sign if they can’t get Leroy Sane?

Sane on a free transfer would’ve been a great option for Arsenal.

The German can play on both flanks, knows the Premier League really well, and his record over the years shows that he can consistently score and assist.

But, if this move becomes impossible, Arsenal should drop everything else and go all out to sign Nico Williams this summer.

The Spaniard should be the priority anyway, and Andrea Berta has held a meeting with Williams’ representatives over a move.

Williams, who is over six years younger than Sane, should be Arsenal’s main target for the wide positions this summer.
