Arsenal teenager Ethan Nwaneri is currently on loan at Marseille.

Ethan Nwaneri joined the French giants during the January transfer window after struggling to get game time under Mikel Arteta.

However, it’s not really gone to plan, as Nwaneri has only started four games for Marseille, with his manager critical of his work ethic.

You’re Mikel Arteta…who is your NUMBER ONE big summer signing this year?

Now, there is a fresh report emerging which suggests the Gunners would be willing to sanction his sale for a certain fee.

Arsenal want £52m to sell Ethan Nwaneri this summer

According to Sportsboom, Arsenal will consider offers for Nwaneri this summer, with Chelsea, Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan circling.

It’s understood that Nwaneri’s representatives have been ‘gauging interest’ from Chelsea and Villa specifically, as the 19-year-old wants to prove himself in England.

If you could sign one of Anthony Gordon, Sandro Tonali or Tino Livramento, who are you taking right now and why?

Arteta and his chiefs are seeking offers in the region of £52m for the left-footed playmaker, which seems pretty lofty.

The club plan to use the potential funds to sign a new midfielder who is capable of going straight into the starting line-up.

Bayern Munich’s Leon Goretska has been linked to the Emirates Stadium, and so too has Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali.

So, perhaps Nwaneri’s sale could facilitate a move for one of the aforementioned midfielders, who are considered among the best in Europe.

It would be disappointing to see the England under-21 depart, but it seems Max Dowman is probably the more mercurial talent, and the club clearly want to offer him a clear pathway to the starting 11.

Dowman surpassed Nwaneri’s record as the youngest ever Premier League debutant earlier this season.
