Arsenal have a plethora of options in wide areas this summer.
Mikel Arteta is chasing another winger to add to his repertoire of the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, with multiple names in the frame.
Arsenal are interested in Kaoru Mitoma after the Japanese international has impressed in the Premier League in recent seasons.
Arteta’s dream signing is Nico Williams, however, the Spanish winger is reportedly in talks with current club Athletic Bilbao over a new contract.
Arsenal have scouted Bradley Barcola extensively at PSG and he is another name on their shortlist but Kai Havertz will not be impressed by what the French international has said in the past.

Bradley Barcola wants Kai Havertz’s shirt number
Speaking in an interview with French publication Clublegacyz, transfer target Barcola spoke of his desire to wear the number 29 shirt throughout his career.
Havertz currently holds the number 29 at the Gunners, however, should the club decide to sign Barcola this summer there could be a battle for squad number.
Barcola stated: “It’s actually a funny story. When I was younger, I used to play FIFA. In the story mode with Alex Hunter, this number became symbolic for me. I thought to myself: “The day I go pro, it’ll be number 29.” And here I am, I adopted it, and now I’ll never let it go.”
Havertz also has a reason for wearing 29 after revealing that it is his brother’s birthday, however, being the team player that he has proven to be, the German would have no problem in relinquishing the number.
Especially if it meant that the striker would have Barcola providing chances for him to fire Arsenal towards a major trophy next campaign.
What would Bradley Barcola bring to Arsenal?
Barcola would be an excellent signing for Arsenal given his ability to commit defenders and cause chaos within a defence.
The Gunners struggled to break down deep defences last season and dropped too many points by being unable to break down low blocks.
| Bradley Barcola’s PSG record this season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Barcola | 58 | 21 | 19 |
Barcola would have that ability to beat one or two defenders and drag players out of position – opening up space for the likes of Martin Odegaard to create clear-cut chances.
PSG’s reported demand of approximately £100m would have to be negotiated but the French star could be the exact type of the player the North Londoners have been craving.
