Arsenal are preparing themselves for a big summer transfer window.
The Gunners need reinforcements in multiple areas of their pitch, and Andrea Berta has been tasked to get several deals over the line in the summer.
All eyes will be on a new striker, while reinforcements are needed in the middle of the park as well, as Thomas Partey and Jorginho could leave.
To add to that, Arsenal will need a backup goalkeeper after Neto goes back to Bournemouth, and there is some good news on that front now.
Joan Garcia’s stance on joining Arsenal as Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen eye move
Joan Garcia is Arsenal’s top goalkeeping target.
The Gunners tried to sign the Spaniard in last summer’s transfer window, but Espanyol’s demands proved to be too much.
Arsenal Insider exclusively revealed that Garcia was ready to join Arsenal last year, and there will be a lot of competition for his signature this time around.
The Daily Mail have now backed that claim and revealed that Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen are all interested in signing the talented goalkeeper.
But, Garcia has ‘shown a willingness’ to join Arsenal and compete with his compatriot David Raya for the number one role under Mikel Arteta.
Espanyol are said to be demanding £22 million for their star goalkeeper, but there is a clause in his contract that could make him available for a lot cheaper.
If Espanyol get relegated, Arsenal can sign Garcia for just £12 million, which would be an absolute bargain.

What Spain’s media have said about Garcia will excite Arsenal fans
Raya is Arsenal’s undisputed number one.
The Spaniard is among the best goalkeepers in the world, and he has been phenomenal for the Gunners over the last year.
Even if Garcia joins, Raya is expected to stay as the number one, but the Espanyol star should not be underestimated – his country’s media believe he is ‘one of the best’ in the world too.
Diario AS said about Garcia in March: “Perfect in the air, he once again demonstrated that, in the eyes of everyone except Luis de la Fuente, he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
“Not in Europe, in the world. It’s that clear!”
