The next transfer window does not open until January, but a rumour has emerged now that will surely concern Arsenal supporters.
Mikel Arteta has built a superb team at Arsenal over the years. He has top-quality players at his disposal in every position and some of them are truly world-class.
Arsenal are challenging for the Premier League title because of those incredible players, and fans are definitely relishing this.
However, having big players in your team always increases the risk of huge clubs coming in for them. That problem could soon affect Arsenal.
Real Madrid hold talks with Arsenal star William Saliba’s entourage
William Saliba is one of the best defenders in the whole world.
The Frenchman joined the Gunners from Saint-Etienne in the summer of 2019. It took him three years to make his competitive debut in the famous red and white, but he has been unbelievable since.
Every top club in the world would love to sign Saliba – he is that good. His performances for club and country over the last two years have been sensational.
Recently, Antonio Rudiger claimed that he would love to sign Saliba for Real Madrid.
Now, French outlet Le10 Sport have claimed that the Galacticos have made Saliba their ‘new priority’ and are desperate to reunite him with Kylian Mbappe.
It has been revealed that Real Madrid have made contact with the Arsenal defender’s entourage to explore his position.
Saliba, hailed as a ‘silent leader’ by Rudiger, will enter the final two years of his Arsenal contract in the summer of 2025.

How much money will Arsenal demand for Saliba?
Arsenal signed Saliba for just £27 million, and they are guaranteed a profit if they sell him.
However, the Gunners, as you would expect, have no interest in letting Saliba go in 2025 – to Real Madrid or any other club.
That is the right stance, but if, at some point, Saliba asks to leave the club, Arsenal will have to consider his request. They will, however, have the right to name their price.
Reports revealed in September that if they had to sell him, Arsenal would demand at least €120 million (£101m) for Saliba.
That would make him the most expensive defender in world football, but we think Arsenal should hold out for even more as he is the best centre-half on the planet right now.
