Three strikers have suddenly been offered to Arsenal, David Raya has embarrassed one of them already

It’s the final week of the winter transfer window, and Arsenal have still not signed a new striker.

The Gunners have lost Gabriel Jesus for the remainder of the season, while Bukayo Saka is not expected to be back until the end of February.

To add to that, Kai Havertz looked exhausted at the end of the Wolves game and had to be helped up by two physios.

Arsenal are in desperate need of reinforcements, and three strikers have now been offered to Mikel Arteta ahead of transfer deadline day.

Mateo Retegui and two other strikers offered to Arsenal

Arsenal need a forward who will offer something different to what they currently have.

Havertz is fantastic at what he does, but he is not the most clinical attacker. The player who will come in has to be someone who will take almost every chance he gets.

Several names have been linked with a move to the Emirates, but David Ornstein has ruled out Arsenal signing Jhon Duran and five other targets in this window.

Now, TBR Football have exclusively revealed that three new names have been offered to the Gunners recently.

Atalanta star Mateo Retegui is one of them. The Italy international has been linked with a move to Arsenal and he has even played against the Gunners this season. David Raya pulled off a double save from the penalty spot in that game to embarrass Retegui.

Another striker offered to Arteta’s side is Moise Kean of Fiorentina. The former Everton man joined La Viola just last summer.

Finally, Manfred Ugalde of Spartak Moscow has been put to Arsenal. He is a 22-year-old Costa Rica international who has been in Russia for a year now.

Arsenal fans have been dreaming of the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Alexander Isak, so the three names above are a big surprise.

It is unclear if Arteta will pursue a move for either of them, but the fact that they have been offered to him means they are available.

As the table shows above, all three strikers fit the age that Arteta usually looks for, and their numbers are all more than decent too.

Kean is the only one with Premier League experience having played at Everton, but he didn’t do much for the Toffees – just four goals in 39 appearances.

That makes him a risky option, but the fact that Retegui and Ugalde haven’t played in England doesn’t make it any better either.
