The 23-year-old has already informed Aston Villa of his desire to leave the club this summer, which is a significant step.

Personal terms between Rogers and the Gunners have already been discussed, and there are not expected to be any issues on that front.

The attacking midfielder held talks with Arteta and is completely sold on the project and plan the Spaniard has sold to him.

Chelsea and Manchester United both discussed the possibility of signing the England star; however, he has told them he wants to join Arsenal.

Arsenal believe that Rogers’ versatility would make him a brilliant addition to their squad, along with his readiness for Premier League football.

This summer, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke will also be in his ear during the England World Cup camp.

Berta is now pushing hard to get a deal for the 23-year-old and ensure that the Gunners finally secure the top left winger they have wanted for quite some time.

Meanwhile, Christos Tzolis is another top target for Arsenal and could be the perfect replacement for either Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli.
