Max Dowman stuns Arsenal fans for England under-17s with latest goal and assist
Max Dowman’s potential is clear, with the youngster displaying quality well beyond his current years in the youth ranks.
That much was shown for England under-17s in their clash with the Czech Republic in the European Championships.
In the first half alone, Dowman managed to run across the byline, beating a defender before squeezing his shot into the back of the net from the tightest of angles.
That goal was somehow usurped by the assist he managed just moments later.
Involving himself in the build-up play, Dowman picked up the ball and played a defence-splitting pass that beat the whole team, setting up another goal for England.
It had Arsenal fans raving about the star, with one supporter stating on social media: “People thought I was exaggerating when I called him a world-class and Yamal-level talent. Max Dowman is already one of the best players in the world, even though he hasn’t made his senior debut yet. Scary talent.”
The praise continued, with one fan stating: “Dowman needs the step up. Doesn’t look like he’s being tested at all at his current level.”
Another added: “Saka, Nwaneri, Lewis-Skelly & very soon Dowman will have saved this club soooo many millions it’s actually insane lol.”
“Max Dowman. Bruh, I’m so excited,” another fan raved. “That boy is the most gifted player Hale End has produced in the last 20yrs. He’s ridiculous. Whenever I see him play, he wows me. Playing like that at 15 isn’t normal.”
“Max Dowman is actually unreal man. 15 years of age it doesn’t make sense. We’ve got a serious serious talent on our hands,” a similar comment read.
A comparison to Cesc Fabregas was made as one fan said: “There’s a solid chance Max Dowman is the future of Arsenal Football Club. I’m old enough to remember Fabregas breaking into the first team, same feeling.”
Meanwhile, another looked forward to the Arsenal pre-season tour, stating: “Cannot wait to see Max Dowman in action for us during the pre-season tour in Singapore. He’s an absolute gem!”
Dowman will now be looking to use the experience moving forward, with some big months ahead of him.

Max Dowman can use England experience to help with Arsenal promotion
With Max Dowman seeming set for a promotion to the Arsenal senior squad, the wonderkid will be looking to make an impression on Mikel Arteta.
The 15-year-old has already had a chance to do so in training, but putting that into match practice at senior level is a different story.
The Arsenal boss has handed out starts to Hale End academy stars during pre-season before, with Ayden Heaven given a chance in last summer’s clash with Manchester United.
For Dowman, this time around could be his opportunity, but he will need to draw on his experiences so far to show his best qualities.
The tournament he has enjoyed with England could give him that platform to build from.
