Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a transfer to Arsenal in the January window.

Mikel Arteta has been urged to sign a forward amid a mass of attacking injuries within the Arsenal squad.

Things went from bad to worse for the Gunners on the sidelines, as Gabriel Jesus was stretchered off against Manchester United.

Arteta admitted his worry over Jesus’ injury, with the early signs being that the Brazilian suffered a season-ending ACL rupture.

Vlahovic is 24 years old at the time of writing and was born on January 28th 2000 in Belgrade, Serbia.

The striker has made 32 appearances for his country at senior international level, scoring 13 times.

At Juventus, Capology cites that Vlahovic earns considerably more than any of his teammates. 

The Serbian picks up £18.3m-a-year in wages, which translates to £352k-a-week.

The above would make him Arsenal’s top earner by a long stretch, with the Gunners’ current highest earner being Kai Havertz on £280k-a-week.

What does Thierry Henry think of Dusan Vlahovic?

When it comes to clinical strikers, Arsenal have been spoiled in the past, with very few coming close to Thierry Henry. 

Interestingly, Vlahovic’s ability has been commented on by the Arsenal legend, who applauded the Serbian’s finishing back in 2022 on CBS Sports [22/02/22].

Henry said, “I thought Vlahovic did ever so well with the goal, the way he finished it,” after the forward netted 31 seconds into his Champions League debut. 

Dusan Vlahovic to Arsenal transfer 

Arsenal are long-term admirers of Vlahovic, who could now leave Juventus this winter in search of a new project.

Arteta appreciates the striker, with it reported that Arsenal submitted a big for Vlahovic, which was rejected by the Bianconeri.

It was claimed that Arsenal approached the Serie A giants to lure the forward to the Emirates on loan, in a desperate attempt to bolster their attack.
