A round-up of the latest Arsenal news, including updates on Ben White’s contract, a double transfer scouting mission and a Kylian Mbappe transfer replacement.
Ben White contract talks
Arsenal appear to be closing in on a new contract for star defender Ben White, if recent reports are to be believed. The 26-year-old has impressed for the Gunners since making the £50million transfer switch from Brighton in 2021.
White has starred at centre-back, while more recently he has featured as a right-back for Mikel Arteta. His importance is set to be rewarded with a new deal as the Telegraph claims that talks are at an “advanced” stage following months of progress.
The defender has made 116 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal since joining, making 33 of those so far this campaign. That is while he was playing through a slight knee injury, underlining just how crucial he is to the team.

Arsenal double scouting mission
Arsenal’s work in the transfer market doesn’t appear to be letting up as scouting continues for the next star that could improve their team. Recent reports claimed that the Gunners had sent scouts to watch Wolves winger Pedro Neto ahead of a potential move.
That’s not all though, as journalist Burhan Can Terzi has claimed that scouts were also sent to watch Baris Alper Yilmaz. The 23-year-old is a winger for Galatasaray, who impressed in the match against Istanbul Basaksehir.

PSG eye ex-Arsenal forward as Kylian Mbappe replacement
PSG could be looking to land former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry as their replacement for Kylian Mbappe in the summer. The Gunners sold the German international for just £7million in 2016, with the winger hitting the heights at Bayern Munich since.
It comes as Les Parisiens are uncertain over the future of Mbappe – who is reported to be an Arsenal transfer target – due to his dwindling contract. According to Sport Bild journalist Lukas Fischer, Gnabry is viewed as the ideal replacement for the Frenchman and could be the frontrunner when the summer transfer window opens.
