Arsenal are gearing up to bounce back from their disappointment last time out, having slumped to a draw against Aston Villa.

The Gunners are in Champions League action on Wednesday, taking on Dinamo Zagreb in their penultimate league phase game.

Ayden Heaven’s Arsenal transfer update

Arsenal youngster Ayden Heaven is facing an uncertain future as transfer rumours surround a potential exit.

The defender has featured in the squad for the first-team, but with a dwindling contract there are doubts over whether he will be part of the team going forward.

Speaking to football transfers expert Graeme Bailey of TBR Football, it is understood that Heaven’s contract offer from Arsenal remains unsigned.

The situation is believed to be something of a worry, amid very public interest from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

It remains to be seen exactly what will happen for Heaven, with a stay or a move away on the cards.

Arsenal handed four injury return boosts

Injuries have been a huge problem for Arsenal this season, with several key stars currently out of action in the squad.

Fortunately for Mikel Arteta though, it appears as though there are some much-needed returns to the team coming soon.

That’s because according to the Telegraph, four players are set to return soon as Ethan Nwaneri, Riccardo Calafiori, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all expecting to be back in action in the weeks ahead.

The Gunners will need a near-fully fit squad at their disposal ahead of a crucial run of fixtures ahead of them.

Arsenal make contact for Matheus Cunha transfer

Arsenal are on the hunt for a striker in the January transfer window, with plenty of links surrounding potential moves over the month.

One of those is Matheus Cunha, though the Wolves star appeared likely to sign a new contract with his club, ruling out a switch.

That said, while talks are still open regarding a deal, journalist Ben Jacobs claims Arsenal have made informal contact with the Brazilian’s camp over a transfer switch.

It remains unlikely that Cunha will join Arsenal before the end of January, but could indicate a twist in the tale.
