Arsenal have begun training in their mid-season break to Dubai, with the club releasing a number of photos showing the players being put through their paces.

Ben White returns to Arsenal first team training in Dubai

Ben White has been absent since knee surgery but returned to first team training for the first time since November as he steps up his rehabilitation ahead of a return to action.

Arteta will welcome White back with open arms as the England international will add another dimension to Arsenal both defensively and offensively.

White is a renowned attacking weapon for Arsenal with his powerful forward runs and ability to provide excellent crosses in the final third, his return will be a major boost for the Gunners.

Real Madrid interested in signing William Saliba from Arsenal

Real Madrid are notorious for wanting Arsenal stars, having held interest in the likes of Patrick Vieira, forward Thierry henry and even manager Arsene Wenger in the past.

The next name on the list for the Spanish giants is William Saliba and according to RMC Sport, the French defender has been their next transfer ‘priority.’

Alexander Isak gave Saliba a torrid time in the Carabao Cup defeat however, the young Arsenal defender has quickly become one of the best in the world in his position and the Gunners will not want to lose him.

Manuel Almunia meets David Raya during Arsenal Dubai break

Manuel Almunia made 175 appearances in his time at Arsenal and was part of the squad that won the FA Cup in 2005.

Now 47 years old, the Spanish goalkeeper has been spotted at Arsenal’s training camp in Dubai and has been meeting fellow Spaniard David Raya.

Arsenal fans are clearly slightly traumatised by Almunia’s spell as the number one, where his form could often be described as ‘unpredictable’ and ‘indifferent.’

He will perhaps be best remembered for his role in Arsenal’s Champions League final defeat to Barcelona where Almunia allowed two goals in at his near post.

Gabriel Martinelli set to miss more than a month with hamstring injury

Gabriel Martinelli pulled up with a hamstring injury against Newcastle and now Arsenal’s fears have been realised with the Brazilian set to miss more than a month of action.

The forward is set to miss Premier League fixtures against Leicester, West Ham and Nottingham Forest and could miss the Champions League last-16 tie.

The devastating injury news leaves the Gunners with just four fit senior forwards and the decision to not acquire anyone in the January window is costing the club more and more as each day passes.
