After the final home game of the 2024/25 season, Declan Rice started to look towards how the summer could look at Arsenal.
On the fourth attempt, Arsenal beat Newcastle 1-0 to close the campaign at the Emirates for another season.
Rice scored a stunning goal to give the Gunners the win, as David Raya also flexed his superiority between the sticks.
Though Arsenal still have Southampton to play before the season ends, Mikel Arteta won’t be present at St Mary’s, as the manager collected a one-match suspension after being booked by Simon Hooper.

Declan Rice shares Arsenal transfer hint
The tedious booking wasn’t the only reason why Arteta might have felt disheartened at full-time.
For the third consecutive season, the boss had to address supporters on the back of a campaign that failed to deliver silverware, giving Arsenal extra incentive to get work done in the summer.
One figure to comment on Andrea Berta’s job in the transfer window was Rice, who shared that the squad is going to experience change ahead of next term.
“We’ll be back for more, hopefully strengthen in the summer, sign more players, probably going to lose some as well,” Rice told Sky Sports.
It was a secret let slip by the midfielder, who hinted at his understanding that there will be some notable exits in the summer.
While the Gunners are expected to sign players this summer, with Arsenal linked strongly to Viktor Gyokeres, it appears to be no secret that departures will also transpire.
Could Arsenal expect a big departure this summer?
There are some obvious exits ahead for Arsenal, as Jorginho’s transfer to Flamengo appears to be lined up.
After making his final appearance at the Emirates, Kieran Tierney will return to Celtic in the summer, but for others, departures are still uncertain.
Leandro Trossard has been linked to an exit, as has Gabriel Martinelli, but Arteta would prefer to keep the Brazilian at Arsenal.
A big transfer could still be on the cards, particularly as Real Madrid are eager to sign William Saliba, but understand the deal will be near impossible.
Aside from arrivals, it’s set to be a busy summer in North London, with the end of several players’ Arsenal chapters in sight.
