Arsenal fans are perplexed about the controversial red card Myles Lewis-Skelly was shown against Wolves.
Despite the fact that Arsenal beat Wolves 1-0, the Gunners still walked away from Molineux feeling a sense of injustice.
Moments before the interval, Lewis-Skelly was sent off for a foul on Matt Doherty, which was deemed to be worthy of a straight card by Michael Oliver.
Even those who dislike Arsenal were shocked at the decision, as Jamie O’Hara couldn’t believe Lewis-Skelly was shown a red card.

Micah Richards disagrees with Dermot Gallagher verdict on Myles Lewis-Skelly red card
As Wolves looked to break on the counter following an Arsenal corner, Lewis-Skelly petulantly fouled Doherty to halt the attack, an action some would consider a ‘tactical foul’.
A red was shown to the shock of many and despite the presence of VAR, the 18-year-old was sent down the tunnel as Oliver’s remarkable decision stood.
The aftermath of the sending-off triggered a lot of backlash in PGMOL’s direction, leading to a statement in defence of Oliver.
As Arsenal’s chances of appealing Lewis-Skelly’s red card have been talked down, all eyes were on Sky Sports’ Ref Watch segment as former referee Dermot Gallagher reacted to the card.
Gallagher did not think Lewis-Skelly deserved a red card, denying any malice behind the teenager’s intention when committing the foul
That being said, not everything that the former Premier League official said was in Arsenal’s favour, as Gallagher claimed that the decision wasn’t the worst ever.
“I don’t think it’s the worst decision in the world like people say,” he said, a phrase that others in the footballing world disagree with.
On The Rest Is Football podcast, Micah Richards was furious with Oliver’s decision, so much so that he branded the red card as ‘the worst decision’ in Premier League history.
“Michael Oliver I like him, I think he’s a top referee. I also understand the scrutiny that you guys are under but guys, that’s the worst decision I have ever seen in Premier League football history.”
The pundit was not pleased with the actions of Oliver, following the opinion of many, including Mikel Arteta, who refused to comment on Lewis-Skelly’s red.

It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will appeal Lewis-Skelly’s red card however, the immediate consensus is that the Gunners won’t waste any time not doing so.
Richards was one of many pundits to be appalled at Oliver’s call although, the referee wasn’t the only punishable figure during the fixture.
“This happens week in, week out. Oliver, he makes a mistake, we all make mistakes, but how on earth they can go to VAR, look at a screen multiple times and they still think that is a red card?” Richards asked.
“If you look at the magnitude of that decision, it was so poor and then for them to double down on the decision, I just think it’s shocking.”
Arsenal have suffered at the hands of VAR since the technology was introduced and like many other teams, the Gunners are growing tired of inconsistencies at the top.
