Gary Neville has made a bold prediction about what is currently being said in the Arsenal dressing room.
Right now, Mikel Arteta’s squad are away from North London as the October international break commences.
The members of the Arsenal squad on international duty will join up with their national teams with a spring in their step, sitting top of the Premier League table.
Though full focus will be on the international break, there’s a good chance that the players have their minds set on what is happening back at home.

Gary Neville thinks Arsenal know it’s their time to win the Premier League
The Premier League title race is already taking shape, with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City starting well.
Arteta’s side sit top of the pile, and as a result, Gary Neville suspects it’s not only pundits who think Arsenal could win the Premier League.
Speaking on the Stick To Football podcast, Neville shared his thoughts on what is being said in the Arsenal dressing room after seven games played.
| Position | Team | Played MP | Won W | Drawn D | Lost L | For GF | Against GA | Diff GD | Points Pts |
| 1 | 7 | 5 | 1 | 1 | 14 | 3 | 11 | 16 | |
| 2 | 7 | 5 | 0 | 2 | 13 | 9 | 4 | 15 | |
| 3 | 7 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 13 | 5 | 8 | 14 | |
| 4 | 7 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 11 | 8 | 3 | 14 |
“I think if they’re in that Arsenal dressing room now, I think even Mikel Arteta, their eyes should be wide open, saying, that prize is actually there now,” Neville said.
“I think for the first time, I reckon they actually might just sit in that dressing room and think, there’s a long way to go, but I actually think it’s ours this. And we’ve got to knuckle down and win.”
A late win over Newcastle United and a comfortable victory over West Ham saw the Gunners leapfrog Liverpool in the table after Arne Slot’s side suffered consecutive league defeats.
With 31 matches left to play, no side will think they’re out of the title race, but with regard to who could top the table in May, the topic is certainly on Arsenal’s mind.
Arteta must learn from Arsene Wenger
It’s not only Neville who suspects that the Arsenal squad sense something special is happening early into this season.
Arteta has the best squad that he’s had since taking the job as Arsenal’s manager, but the boss won’t be distracted by title talk.
Out of everything that Arteta has learned from Arsene Wenger, as both a player and a manager, it’s that celebrations mustn’t truly begin until matchday 38 concludes.

In the 2003/04 season, Arsenal won the league at White Hart Lane with four games remaining, and while the scenes were jubilant, Wenger knew he had something else to achieve.
Despite already winning the title, Wenger strived for more, guiding his squad of title winners to then go the entire season unbeaten, a remarkable showing of strength and a lesson on how to limit distraction.
Arsenal’s history shows what can happen when a foot isn’t taken off the gas, and while the Gunners can’t go the season unbeaten, a fiercely competitive league title is there to be won.
