Arsenal are looking to bounce back once again after another bruising result in their Premier League escapades.

The Gunners dropped points, drawing against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium, despite taking a two-goal lead in the match.

Attention turns to the Champions League next, while there is also plenty of focus surrounding the transfer market.

The January window is progressing, with Arsenal on the look out for a few different options to strengthen the team.

So with that said, here’s a look at the latest news ahead of another busy day.

Ian Wright sends transfer demand to Arsenal

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has called upon the club’s hierarchy to make some quick moves in the January transfer window to bolster the squad.

It comes after the draw with Aston Villa, as the Gunners had very few options to call upon from the bench late on.

Just one substitute was used by Mikel Arteta, with injuries now leaving Arsenal with very few players available.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Wright made his feelings clear, stating: “The underlying factor is the manager needs help.

“You look at the benches; you look at who they’re able to bring on. It just looks like he needs help now. They need help. We have to buy some players. We have to. Even when Saka was fit, we needed another forward.”

Rivals join Arsenal in race for Jamie Gittens transfer

Arsenal have shown transfer interest in Jamie Gittens, with the Borussia Dortmund star showing impressive signs so early into his career.

The 20-year-old has become a regular in the Bundesliga this season, offering a potential option for the Gunners.

They aren’t the only team in the mix though, as Florian Plettenberg reveals Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester United are monitoring a deal.

Gittens could see his future determined by Borussia Dortmund and their push for a Champions League place.

Arsenal handed Bukayo Saka injury boost

Arsenal may have been handed a slight boost for the injury situation surrounding forward Bukayo Saka this season.

The winger has been out of action since mid-December, where he picked up a hamstring injury and required surgery.

While Saka has largely been out and spotted on crutches, there has been something of a small boost in recent days.

That’s because, in the clash with Aston Villa, the forward was spotted without the aid of his crutches, suggesting he is working towards his way back.
