Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is refusing to give up on his quest for the Premier League title.
Arsenal have gone backwards this season after a 1-0 defeat to West Ham, which meant that for the first time under Arteta, the Gunners can no longer reach a better points tally than the previous season.
Arsenal sit eleven points off of the Premier League leaders Liverpool and fans are blaming Stan Kroenke for their collapse in the title race.
However, Arteta has not given up yet and despite Myles Lewis-Skelly’s absence against Nottingham Forest, the North London side will still be going all out to claim three points.

Mikel Arteta shares Premier League title race verdict
Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Nottingham Forest, a defiant Arteta has claimed that he still believes his side can make history and win the league the hard way.
Arteta stated: “Mathematically it is possible. You are there, you have to play every game. Suddenly three days ago we could close the gap and you are like one and a half games away, it doesn’t matter we have to continue to go.”
The Spaniard then went on to explain how his side would be making ‘Premier League history’ should they overcome the gap between them and Liverpool.
Arteta explained: “The difficulty is higher than three days ago but if you want to win the Premier League, you’re going to have to do something special. You’re going to have to win this Premier League in the circumstances we have probably to do something nobody else has done in the history.”
Arsenal will need to sharpen defensive focus against Nottingham Forest
Despite their obvious attacking woes, it was Arsenal’s poor defending that ultimately cost them the points against West Ham at the Emirates Stadium.
Riccardo Calafiori and Declan Rice were humiliated in the Arsenal player ratings having both played huge roles in allowed Jarrod Bowen to score the winner.

The Gunners will need to sharpen their defensive focus against a Nottingham Forest side that have been excellent so far this campaign and have striker Chris Wood currently sitting on 18 league goals.
If Arsenal are to beat Forest, it is likely they will need to keep a clean sheet and win by the odd goal given that they have the joint-best home defensive record this season – just ten goals conceded.
