Arsenal are showing a ruthless edge when it comes to players leaving this summer.
Arsenal released twenty players last month as a number of first-team and academy products were let go at the end of their contracts – most notably Kieran Tierney and Jorginho.
Thomas Partey’s Arsenal exit followed after the Ghanaian midfielder failed to agree terms on a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.
Andrea Berta’s clear-out continued with Nuno Tavares joining Lazio in his first permanent sale as the club’s sporting director and now another Hale End star is set to depart following prolonged contract talks.

Michal Rosiak set to leave Arsenal
Following contract talks with the club, Michal Rosiak is set to leave Arsenal after failing to agree a new deal as per Jeorge Bird.
Rosiak is a set-piece specialist and the 19-year-old was offered a new deal by the Gunners but has chosen not to put pen to paper.
With his ability to play at right back or central midfield, Rosiak was ideal for the way Mikel Arteta likes his full backs to invert and was on the bench for the Champions League quarter-final victory in Madrid.
However, Rosiak has not been seen training with the U21 squad upon their return for pre-season and it is likely the player has decided his future lies elsewhere.
What Jack Wilshere has said about Michal Rosiak
Jack Wilshere is a big fan of Rosiak and will be disappointed at seeing his former player depart the club having not had the chance to make an impact in the first-team.
The former Arsenal midfielder believed Rosiak was a ‘great example’ to his teammates for the hours of practice and dedication he put into improving his game.

Wilshere stated: “He’s a great example to the players because he practices and practices. Of course, there are other sides to the game you can practice but he puts in serious dedication to his craft of taking free-kicks. He actually tried a bit of a different technique today but it was unsavable. A great goal.”
The Gunners have seen Hale End products such as Ayden Heaven and Chidozie Obi-Martin leave the club recently and go on to play first-team football.
Per Mertesacker will be keen to keep his brightest young talents and produce more examples of success such as the recent fortunes of Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri.
