Adrian Clarke believes Santi Cazorla is ‘perfect appointment’
Following Carlos Cuesta’s departure from Arsenal, Arteta is now looking for a new assistant manager and former Gunners midfielder Santi Cazorla is a name in the frame.
Adrian Clarke spoke to the Athletic’s ‘Handbrake off’ podcast and believes the Spanish magician would be a ‘perfect appointment’ for the coaching role.
Clarke stated: “He’s [Cazorla] been in dressing rooms up until now, so he’ll be au fait with the current players and what they’re into and the banter and whatnot.
“So that’s the question mark for me, if that’s what he wants and he’s got that drive to learn and to really commit to the role, fantastic. Perfect appointment. But if he hasn’t I’ll gladly take an unknown who has got that.”
