Real Madrid announced the signing of Trent Alexander Arnold for a fee of £10m in order for the England international to join up with them early for the FIFA Club World Cup.
Arsenal transfer target Rodrygo has appeared to hint at his future after sending Alexander-Arnold a welcome message to the Spanish outfit.
Rodrygo simply commented on Real Madrid’s Instagram post confirming the signing by writing: “Woooooow.”
Social media activity like this will only serve to cement the idea that the Brazilian is willing to stay at the Bernabeu and fight for his place under Xabi Alonso.

David Raya opens up on ‘rock bottom’ Arsenal moment
Speaking on the latest episode of the ‘Fozcast’, Gunners goalkeeper David Raya has opened up on the tough times he faced at the start of his career at the Emirates Stadium.
The Spanish international recalled a performance away at Luton Town back in 2023 where despite winning 4-3, Raya struggled in the Premier League clash.
Raya stated: “I felt like I hit rock bottom. Obviously with the goalie coach we literally after the game, we were in the training ground, we played that night and we were at the training ground for two hours talking.”
In stark contrast, the goalie has now won his second consecutive Golden Glove award and shown his resilience to become of the club’s most important players.

Fans make new demand to Andrea Berta after Gabriel Magalhaes contract success
Gabriel Magalhaes is in ‘advanced talks’ with Arsenal over a new contract that would see the Brazilian stay at the club until 2030.
Supporters are delighted with the news that Gabriel is set to commit however, they had a clear message for what they want from Andrea Berta next.
William Saliba and Bukayo Saka are yet to commit to the club and sign new contracts. Fans have demanded that Berta prioritises those two deals next.
