Pep Guardiola is one of the greatest managers in the history of the game, and Arsenal have seen that first-hand in recent years.

At Manchester City, Guardiola has taken things to another level, turning the Premier League into a competition his side have largely controlled, winning six in nine seasons.
The 55-year-old has been so dominant in his career that he has never gone two seasons without winning a league title. Now, that remarkable streak could finally come to an end thanks to Arsenal.

Arsenal could end Pep Guardiola’s incredible title streak
Arsenal are now the favourites to win the Premier League title this season.
Mikel Arteta’s side are nine points clear at the top of the table, albeit they have played a game more than second-placed Manchester City.
With just seven games left to play, the Gunners are in a position where they should be able to get over the line after missing out in each of the last three seasons.
If they do, it would mean Pep Guardiola goes without a league title for two seasons in a row for the first time in his career.
Since taking charge of Barcelona in the 2008/09 campaign, Guardiola has finished first 12 times in 16 seasons. Every time he failed to win a league title, he managed to do it in the very next season.
For Arsenal, ending that run would be an incredible achievement and a statement of how far they have come under their manager.
Some fans will also see it as revenge after what happened in the Carabao Cup final.

There are already several rumours suggesting that Guardiola could leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
Losing the Premier League title to Arteta’s Arsenal could make that decision even more likely.
Arsenal are building a squad that many believe could dominate English football for years if they get over the line this season.
Guardiola may recognise that shift too and decide to move on instead of going through another gruelling battle with his former assistant.
If Arsenal do win the title and the City boss ends up leaving, history will show that Arteta beat Guardiola to the Premier League title in the latter’s final season in English football.
