Arsenal have signed two huge talents from Ecuador – Edwin and Holger Quintero – and Piero Hincapie knows all about them.
The Gunners are putting a big emphasis on signing young players.
Arsenal first agreed a deal to sign Victor Ozhianvuna from Shamrock Rovers, and they recently brought in Jaden Dixon and Evan Mooney in the January transfer window.
In between those deals, the Quintero twins were signed, and they will be arriving at the club once they turn 18 in 2027.
They’ve been compared to Neymar and Ronaldinho, but which players do the Quintero twins remind you of?
Piero Hincapie delivers verdict on Edwin and Holger Quintero
Piero Hincapie became Arsenal’s first-ever Ecuadorian player after he joined the club in the summer.
The defender was brought in on a season-long loan, and that deal is expected to be turned into a permanent one at the end of this season.
Hincapie has been a very good signing so far, and that may have influenced Andrea Berta to have a closer look at the Ecuadorian market.
That led to the signings of the Quintero twins, and Hincapie has heaped praise on his young compatriots.

He said, as per The Sun: “I can’t really speak about their future, but I know they’re both incredible players.
“They’re such good footballers. They’re doing well and looking after themselves.
“I hope they join this huge club in wonderful condition [when they’re 18] and we’ll welcome them with open arms.”

Arsenal are saving millions through young signings
Arsenal know better than most big Premier League clubs the benefit of developing incredible young players.
The likes of Bukayo Saka, Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Max Dowman cost nothing in terms of transfer fees, and they’re all worth a fortune now.
Arsenal are now making an even bigger effort to recruit talented young players, and that is a very smart move.
If it works out as planned, the North Londoners will end up saving hundreds of millions, which could then be used to sign superstars.
