Arsenal are heading into a crucial period of the season both on and off the pitch, games are coming thick and fast and the January transfer window closes soon.

Arsenal travel to Wolves knowing that three points are an absolute must in order to keep pace with Premier League leaders Liverpool.

Wolves have told Arsenal that Matheus Cunha is ‘not for sale’ ahead of the game, amid interest in the striker from the Gunners as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attacking options.

Arteta has sent a strong message to the Arsenal board of the need for Arsenal to be active in the window and Josh Kroenke was in attendance for the Dinamo Zagreb game.

Josh Kroenke still in London following Arsenal’s Champions League game

Usually Josh Kroenke departs in a swift manner following a visit for an Arsenal however, it seems the American is still in London, which could be the biggest indication yet that the Gunners are looking to move in the market.

With injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, Arteta’s options in attacking areas have become depleted and more bodies are needed to keep pace in a number of competitions.

Kroenke is in ‘constant contact’ with the club over potential business although Kroenke is not a fan of doing business in January as the market can become inflated during the window.

Fans are becoming impatient at the lack of transfer activity at Arsenal

Arsenal fans can also clearly see the need for extra firepower as the Gunners chase a Premier League title but also are in with a shout of the Champions League and Carabao Cup.

A transfer message to Kroenke was sent by fans on a piece of artwork outside the Emirates Stadium ahead of the Dinamo Zagreb match and now seems the time for the American to listen to those pleas.

A signing or two in forward areas could really be the difference for this Arsenal squad this season and Arteta’s frustrations at his press conference shows that.

Lets hope that Kroenke’s extended trip culminates in a fruitful end for Arteta and the club by securing that all important forward signing.
