Arsenal closed the gap to seven points of league leaders Liverpool with a 2-0 victory over Manchester United.
Arsenal’s set-piece coach Nicolas Jover worked his magic once again as goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba gave Arsenal victory.
The score line could and should have been more flattering as Thomas Partey left fans in disbelief with an early miss in the first half.
Manager Mikel Arteta has really turned Arsenal around in recent weeks following a sticky spell in November and pundit Theo Walcott has been speaking about his ex-teammate.

Theo Walcott claims he knew Arteta ‘was always going to be a manager’
Speaking on Amazon Prime Video’s pre-match coverage of Arsenal v Man United, Walcott claimed that Arteta had a presence as a player which then translated into being a manager.
Walcott stated, “He’s such an impressive man, he was an impressive player as well. He was always going to be a manager because he had that presence about him.”
Arteta has learned from Arsene Wenger and taken on advice throughout his career, which Walcott believes will soon bring the Spaniard success.
Walcott, “He was born to do great things for this football club.”
Arteta has managed 252 games since taking charge of Arsenal in December 2019 with an average of 1.98 points per game.
Mikel Arteta continues to find ways of beating Manchester United
Mikel Arteta recorded Arsenal’s fourth straight league victory over Man United and the Arsenal boss now has the highest win percentage of any manager against the Red Devils.
The victory has caused Man United manager Ruben Amorim to regret his pre-match words about Arsenal, claiming ‘he was too strong with his words.’
Gary Neville was also critical of Arsenal’s set-pieces, clearly frustrated at his side’s inability to cope with Arsenal’s strength.
It wasn’t all plain sailing for the Gunners however and they had a brilliant save from David Raya to thank for the three points according to Paul Merson.
Yet, if Arsenal can continue this momentum over a busy festive period and beyond then it may see Arteta finally ending his wait for that elusive first Premier League title.
