It’s set to be a busy summer of reorganisation for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, but first, the manager will enjoy a break.
Though the Premier League season has ended, it’s not time for the beach just yet for the Arsenal squad.
Several Arsenal players are on international duty over the June fixtures, with work to do for their national teams before their downtime.
For the Gunners that missed out on international duty, there’s recovery and rehabilitation to be had to deal with injuries, ahead of what promises to be a fascinating 2025/26 campaign.

Mikel Arteta’s summer plans
For fans, all attention is on the 2025 summer transfer window, as sporting director Andrea Berta aims to bolster the Arsenal squad in preparation for next season.
While the Italian gets to work to deliver Arteta the targets he admires, the Arsenal manager has some plans to attend, as he revealed.
“I will be heading to Spain first and spending some time with my family,” Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
“We’ve organised already a few birthday parties because I have three boys and the three of them are born from June, so we already have three big birthday parties organised.
“A lot of family are coming, friends as well, so we’re going to gather together. That’s part of the plan, then we’ll go abroad for a week like we always do, somewhere quiet that we can be the five of us together, spend some time on privacy.”
Though the boss is looking to kick back and utilise his small window for relaxation, Arteta admitted he still expects to be very much on the go over his summer break.
“The little one, at the moment when we go on holidays, he goes on my shoulders and doesn’t want to leave me alone for the whole holiday! The other two are a bit older but very active.
“We’re planning a lot of sports, hiking, and obviously the connection with the sun and the water. I love it during the summer, so I take the opportunity to do that.”
It’s no surprise that the Spaniard is aiming to do so much over the break, as work resumes in July when Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Asia kicks off.
- Arsenal vs AC Milan – Singapore – July 23rd.
- Arsenal vs Newcastle United – Singapore – July 27th.
- Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur – Hong Kong – July 31st.

Busy summer for Arsenal in the transfer window
Though Arteta’s summer holidays have started, the hard work has just begun for Berta back at Colney.
The summer transfer window will take a pause to accommodate the Club World Cup, but that won’t stop the sporting director from working tirelessly in the transfer market.
Arsenal are closing in on signing Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig so that Berta can finally deliver a striker to Arteta, while a host of other targets have been identified.
All signs are pointing to an emphatic summer for all associated with Arsenal, both in preparation for next season and while taking a much-needed break.
