Arsenal have a lot to thank Arsene Wenger for.
Wenger masterminded some of the greatest Arsenal teams to have ever been witnessed, including the Invincible side that won the Premier League title in 2004.
Mikel Arteta thanked Wenger before his side’s Champions League semi-final against PSG at the Emirates Stadium – a ground that the former boss put his heart and soul into building.
Now the Gunners are at a crossroads in their modern history as they attempt to find the missing ingredients to win a major trophy. Andrea Berta would be wise to listen to Wenger’s advice…

Arsene Wenger tells Arsenal to sign Alexander Isak
Former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman has claimed that Wenger believes the Gunners should sign Alexander Isak this summer.
Speaking on the latest episode of his ‘Seaman Says’ podcast, the Arsenal legend claims that Wenger did not even hesitate when asked the question over who the club should recruit.
Seaman stated: “I had a dinner with Arsene Wenger, a charity dinner, about three weeks ago, and I asked him that question. I said, ‘You’re the boss, who would you sign this summer?
“Isak,’ he said, as quick as that.”
Ian Wright also joined Seaman on the podcast and echoed Wenger’s thoughts, Wright explained: “Exactly. It’s not being disrespectful to them [Newcastle], but he is brilliant.”
Kai Havertz is proving Arsene Wenger correct
Kai Havertz has been playing in a false nine role for the Gunners over the last couple of seasons and has performed admirably well in an unfamiliar position.
However, Arsenal now need a natural goal scorer and this fact was underlined by ESPN in their latest top 100 footballers ranking.
| Kai Havertz’s Arsenal record this season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Havertz | 36 | 15 | 5 |
The only position where Arsenal did not have a player ranked in the top 10 of the world was striker where Havertz ranked at 19 – one place better than transfer target Benjamin Sesko.
Jamie Carragher has backed Havertz to keep his place as centre forward next season but if Arteta wants to end his trophy drought, he needs a clinical finisher like Isak in that role.
