The 2025 transfer window is just around the corner, and for Arsenal, it will be something of a different format to deal with.
The Gunners enter the market with Andrea Berta looking to bolster the squad, particularly in the forward ranks.
While a centre-forward is a top priority, with Viktor Gyokeres heavily linked, there is also interest in landing a winger.
Arsenal have been linked with a transfer for Rodrygo as one of the options to fulfil that role, with the Brazilian seemingly available.
While the North London club may be looking to bring him to the Emirates Stadium, there may be a slight complication to that.

Club World Cup and summer transfer window rule change could impact Rodrygo to Arsenal
With Arsenal recently holding talks to sign Rodrygo, the side appear to be moving quickly to try and secure the winger this summer.
That may be down to a busy summer that is ahead for the Brazilian and his Real Madrid teammates.
The Club World Cup is coming up in the middle of June, with the new tournament format taking place in the next few weeks.
Real Madrid will be there as one of several UEFA representatives looking to get their hands on the trophy, along with the cash boost that comes from winning it.
What it does mean, however, is extra games at a time when players would usually be resting up and recovering for the new season.
It also takes place during the transfer window, making any moves potentially awkward for teams to deal with.
To combat that, a new transfer window rule change has come into effect that will see a small window open in early June to allow for moves to take place, before the full summer window opens six days later.
It means Arsenal have a chance to land Rodrygo early, which is something they should prefer to do.
The Gunners have traditionally completed much of their business early in the windows, giving Mikel Arteta some time to get the new recruits into the team.
The opportunity to do so for Rodrygo would naturally be a boost anyway, but doing so to avoid doing the deal much later, plus the time it may take for him to recover from the Club World Cup, makes it a must-do deal early on.
It remains to be seen whether Berta will be able to pull off such a huge switch in such a short amount of time, with just over two weeks until the competition starts, but it’s a challenge he now faces.

What Mikel Arteta said about Rodrygo to Arsenal transfer links
With links to Rodrygo appearing stronger as each day passes, Mikel Arteta was quizzed about a possible move for the Brazilian to Arsenal.
In typical fashion, the Arsenal boss refused to name the star in response, but did claim that the top players should be linked with the club.
Arteta told the press ahead of his side’s clash with Southampton: “Well, I wouldn’t like to name a player… I think the biggest thing is that, and using the word pride, is that we have brought the club into a position, into a place that next season, ‘You have to win a major trophy.’
“That means that everybody believes that we have the level, that we have shown the consistency, and we are an elite team in this country and in Europe.
“And if you don’t do that, then what’s going to happen? So, for me, that’s the biggest statement, that Arsenal is there.”
When pushed on Rodrygo and links, he simply said: “I mean, if you want to win major trophies, you have to be the best in the market, no? The teams that win have the best players, always, always at this level.”
It certainly suggests that Arteta wouldn’t be against such a move this summer, but it may well have to be a quick one to avoid the Club World Cup clash.
