Arsenal were glad to see the back of Harry Kane when he left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich in 2023.

Kane was a frequent scorer in the North London Derby and caused supporters untold pain over the years with his ability to find the net in the biggest games.

Despite being a boyhood Arsenal fan, the England striker scored 280 goals in 435 games for Spurs and took them to the brink of major trophies on numerous occasions.

Kane finally won the first trophy of his career last season by lifting the Bundesliga with Bayern and the 32-year-old will be hoping that the Gunners have just taken him a step closer to lifting another major title.

Harry Kane’s chance of winning the World Cup just increased with Eberechi Eze transfer to Arsenal

Kane will have his eyes firmly set on lifting the World Cup with England next summer and his chances may just have increased after Andrea Berta’s latest piece of business.

Arsenal have agreed a deal to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace with the England star expected to cost around £68m.

It means that Eze will join his international teammates Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice at the Gunners and can improve his connections with the duo this season ahead of next summer’s tournament.

Hale End duo Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly will also harbour hopes of making Thomas Tuchel’s squad and have a whole season to learn Eze’s game inside out.

Fellow new signing Noni Madueke will also be working closely with Eze, whilst defender Ben White completes the set of England hopefuls at the Emirates next season.

Whilst Kane may have preferred his old side to have completed the deal to sign Eze, he will at least see the positives in terms of his England prospects.

Bukayo Saka’s record with Eberechi Eze for England

Mikel Arteta will be also be hoping that his crop of England internationals can strike up an immediate and fruitful relationship this season.

Arsenal are gunning for all four trophies this season and Troy Deeney believes Saka will be pivotal to the club’s hopes of landing silverware.

Saka has already played Eze on seven occasions for England and whilst they are yet to combine for a goal, they have been successful in terms of winning matches.

Goals win games and Arteta will have no doubt that the two will combine to score plenty this season in the red and white shirt. Also making it easier for striker Viktor Gyokeres to silence his own critics and doubters.
