Arsenal predicted XI, team and injury news as Gabriel Jesus returns v Crystal Palace

Arsenal are set to take on Crystal Palace in a Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

It is vital that Arsenal are able to get back to winning ways against the Eagles this weekend.

The Gunners have lost their last three matches. This run of poor form has cost them dearly, as not only have they been eliminated from the FA Cup, but Mikel Arteta’s side have also lost significant ground in the title race.

Arsenal can still be crowned Premier League champions this season. However, in order to stand any chance of triumphing in that manner they have to find some positive form. As asserted by journalist Charles Watts, if the north London club fail to pick up 3 points against Crystal Palace then it will be time to panic.

With that in mind, as well as the fact that the Arsenal squad have just enjoyed a short break and a training camp in Dubai, Arteta will surely pick the strongest team he possibly can for this fixture.

Predicted Arsenal starting XI v Crystal Palace

David Raya

Now firmly established as the Arsenal No. 1.

Ben White

Ben White has had some fitness issues this season that have hampered his performances. Hopefully he was able to fully recover in Dubai and can now get back to his best.

William Saliba

A stalwart in the heart of the Arsenal rearguard.

Gabriel Magalhaes

Arteta will see no reason to break up his proven and reliable centre-back partners.

Jakub Kiwior

Oleksandr Zinchenko is carrying a knock which will likely see him sidelined for this match. As such, given his dearth of available options in this part of the pitch, Arteta will probably play Jakub Kiwior out of position at left-back once again. The Gunners consider sourcing cover for this role to be a priority this month, and have been linked with Roma full-back Leonardo Spinazzola.

Declan Rice

Declan Rice has made himself undroppable with his performances this season.

Martin Odegaard

The Arsenal captain needs to get back to his best against Crystal Palace.

Kai Havertz

Towards the end of 2023, Kai Havertz showed some real improvement and looked to have finally found his feet at Arsenal. He needs to keep those confidence levels up, amid calls for Jorginho to be brought into the starting midfield trio on a more regular basis.

Bukayo Saka

If Bukayo Saka is fit, he starts.

Gabriel Martinelli

Gabriel Martinelli really needs to rediscover his clinical edge in the second half of the season. If he can do that then the Brazilian could have a huge impact for the Gunners.

Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus recovered from his injury whilst in Dubai and is Arteta’s first-choice striker. However, he is another that needs to up his game. Three Premier League goals so far this season simply isn’t good enough, regardless of the other qualities that the £45 million former Manchester City man brings to the team.
