This summer will be an important one for Arsenal and Mikel Arteta as the club look to enter the transfer window with some big plans to overhaul the squad.

Andrea Berta is tasked with adding the missing pieces to the puzzle that will get the Gunners over the line in their Premier League title hunt, while the search for silverware continues across other cup competitions, too.

There are plenty of additions on the cards for Arsenal fans to get excited about, with Mikel Arteta set to be backed by the owners once more.

While it’s unclear exactly who the club will and won’t get, there will be a dream scenario playing out in the head of the Arsenal boss.

So, with that said, here’s a look at what we believe would be Arteta’s dream summer transfer window coming up, with each key position covered.

Mikel Arteta’s dream Arsenal signings this summer transfer window

Alexander Isak

It should be no surprise that Arsenal are interested in Alexander Isak, with the Newcastle striker consistently showing his quality in the Premier League.

The forward has had a knack for finding the back of the net, scoring from close and afar, while his physical prowess has been a problem for any defender he faces.

While Alexander Isak may well be an expensive acquisition, it’s no surprise that Arsenal and plenty of other teams would have him at the top of their shortlist if the funds are available.

Nico Williams

Mikel Arteta is an admirer of Nico Williams, having followed the winger for several seasons at Athletic Club.

The Arsenal boss is on the lookout for a new left-sided option to compete for a place in his side, and the Spaniard could fit the bill.

Nico Williams has plenty of quality, capable of opening up a game at a moment’s notice, while still having plenty of room to grow further.

With a release clause worth roughly £50million, it could prove to be a smart signing for now and for the future.

Martin Zubimendi

Arsenal are set to sign Martin Zubimendi this summer, with the midfielder expected to join regardless of any late moves.

The Real Sociedad star will join for £51million and adds an ability to dictate tempo in the middle of the park.

With Jorginho set to leave Arsenal as a free agent, Martin Zubimendi could prove to be the perfect replacement for what Arteta wants in his team.

Joan Garcia

A backup goalkeeper for David Raya is needed, and Arsenal will be keen to land Joan Garcia as the ideal competition for the number one position.

The goalkeeper has impressed in La Liga this season, becoming a top option while featuring for Espanyol.

That could make it tough for Arsenal to complete a deal for Garcia, but it would be a dream move for Arteta to land a top option for between the sticks.

Mikel Arteta’s potential Arsenal departures this summer transfer window

Oleksandr Zinchenko

It hasn’t been an easy season for Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has suffered from a mixture of injuries and a lack of game time.

Once a key part of the Arsenal team under Arteta, the Ukrainian international appears to have slipped down the pecking order.

Zinchenko has been linked with an Arsenal transfer exit, one that could bring in some extra funds for a position already well covered.

Jakub Kiwior

Jakub Kiwior has been linked with a transfer exit this summer, following a successful period back in the Arsenal side.

The Polish international has often had to play backup to William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes, but he has proven his quality when called upon.

Despite that, Kiwior looks likely to leave and will provide a decent cash injection for the club along the way.
