Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli is facing an uncertain future in North London.
David Ornstein claims Arsenal want to keep Martinelli but that the Brazilian would be allowed to leave the club should a sizeable offer come in for the winger.
Reports have emerged that Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr are willing to pay £73m for Martinelli and that would surely tempt Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta amid their Arsenal rebuild.
However, contract talks are said to ‘stalling’ with another Arsenal forward and if given the option, the Gunners should consider selling this player over Martinelli.

Leandro Trossard’s Arsenal contract talks ‘stalling’
According to journalist Ryan Taylor at the Mirror, current contract talks between Arsenal and Leandro Trossard are ‘stalling’ and no breakthrough has been made.
Trossard’s deal expires in June 2026, although the Gunners do have an option of extending that by another year to 2027.
The Belgian forward has recently changed agent, however that is not linked to the uncertainty around his future at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fans are against Trossard’s contract talks and with still ‘no agreement’ over a new deal, his exit is looking increasingly likely this summer.
The Gunners are said to want to sell an established first-team player in the next 12 months and after speculation linking Kai Havertz with a move to Germany, Trossard could now be the man to depart.
Arsenal should sell Leandro Trossard over Gabriel Martinelli
Trossard has been a ‘phenomenal’ signing for Arsenal and has a habit of scoring important goals for the club.
However, Trossard and Martinelli have attracted interest from Saudi Arabia and should suitable offers arrive for the pair, Arsenal have to sell the Belgian.
| Arsenal career stats | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Martinelli | 225 | 51 | 29 |
| Trossard | 124 | 28 | 23 |
Martinelli is still to have his best years of his career and whilst experience is important, Trossard looks to have reached his ceiling as a player.
The money from Trossard’s sale could be used to further strengthen the Gunners’ attack. Eberechi Eze wants to move to Arsenal and there is firm interest in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo.
It is a no-brainer for Berta and Arteta this summer, should an offer arrive Trossard, it is time to say thank you but goodbye.
