Gabriel Martinelli’s future at Arsenal is one to watch this summer.
Arsenal could sell Martinelli after it was revealed that no ‘significant’ contract talks had taken place with the Brazilian amid his contract expiring in June 2027.
Barcelona are interested in Martinelli however, any move for the Arsenal man would depend on the Spanish side’s stance over Marcus Rashford.
Martinelli has also attracted Saudi interest so, with his future at the Emirates Stadium on a knife edge, Arsenal Insider looks at three potential replacements for Mikel Arteta to consider.

Three Arsenal replacements for Gabriel Martinelli
Jamie Gittens
Arsenal are interested in Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund and the young star would be a perfect replacement for Martinelli.
At just 20 years of age, he fits the age profile that the club like to invest in and already has significant Champions League experience.
Gittens is quick and direct and with 12 goals and five assists this season, he is a player that would be ready to make an impact at the Gunners upon arrival.
He was described by a fan on X as an ‘unstoppable 1v1 maverick’ and Arsenal have certainly lacked inventiveness at times this campaign.
A host of Premier League clubs are chasing Gittens but if Andrea Berta can lure him to North London, it would almost be a like-for-like replacement for Martinelli.
Kaoru Mitoma
Arsenal are chasing Kaoru Mitoma although any deal for the Japanese international would be difficult to strike with Brighton.
Danny Welbeck is a fan of Mitoma and his comments over his teammate show Arteta exactly why Mitoma would be the ideal candidate to play on the wing for the Gunners.
He also excels in one v one situations and has already proven that he can produce big moments in the Premier League, Mitoma managed 15 goal contributions in 41 appearances this season.
Mitoma ‘roasted’ Ben White during a clash at the Emirates back in 2023 and the Gunners are crying out for a player that can unlock the door when defences retreat and deny space.
Nico Williams
Arteta’s dream winger is Nico Williams and the club have had a long-standing interest in the Spanish winger.
Wages could prove to be a stumbling block for Arsenal however, with the likely departures of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney, alongside Martinelli, it may free up financial wiggle room for Williams.
His blistering pace and eye for goal caught the attention of world football during Spain’s victorious Euro 2024 campaign and he has continued to impress in La Liga for Athletic Bilbao.
Should Martinelli leave this summer, it would create a void on the left flank and Williams is exactly the sort of player who can fill that gap.
