Arsenal are moving early to get their desired transfer targets this summer.
Andrea Berta has shocked Europe with his swift and decisive actions over talks with potential signings and it appears that Arsenal are in for an unprecedented transfer window.
Arsenal are in talks for Rodrygo as they seek to bolster attacking options for next season whilst Portuguese media outlets claim an ‘agreement’ with Viktor Gyokeres has been reached by Berta.
Yet, Arsenal are continuing to investigate options to make them more of a goalscoring threat next campaign and Berta’s latest target is someone he knows very well.

Arsenal plan transfer ‘meeting’ with Julian Alvarez
Pep Guardiola once claimed he ‘learnt a lot’ from his former star at Manchester City Julian Alvarez as per BBC Sport.
That was before Berta brought Alvarez to Atletico Madrid in an £81m deal last summer and now the Italian is looking to repeat the trick as per journalist Matias Palacios.
According to Sport Witness, Palacios has claimed that Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are all ‘very interested’ in the Argentine forward and are planning meetings with Alvarez’s representatives as early as next week.
Alvarez’s versatility and intelligence of movement was what attracted Berta to him in his previous role and those attributes are once again catching his eye for the Gunners.
Julian Alvarez’s Premier League record
The 25-year-old forward won two Premier League titles and a Champions League during his time at Manchester City.
He was often deployed just off of the main striker but did also fill in for Erling Haaland in the number nine role when the Norwegian was unavailable.
| Julian Alvarez’s Premier League record | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Alvarez | 67 | 20 | 11 |
Whilst Alvarez has not been a prolific goal scorer during his career, again he is a player with experience of English football and has proven he is capable of delivering major trophies.
Should the Gunners press ahead with his signing, it would signal more intent that Mikel Arteta will end his trophy drought at all costs next season.
