With deadline day of the January transfer window fast approaching, Arsenal fans have a message for Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are hoping to bring in an attacking signing before deadline day, with pressure mounting to bolster Arteta’s attack.
Arteta has been clear with his desire to sign a forward, sending several pleas to the club regarding support in the transfer window.
With squad depth low and the Premier League title race slipping away, Arsenal must act fast to recruit a new attacker.
While the Gunners have been linked to several forwards, it appears that the North Londoners are hoping to revisit the majority of their targets in the summer, which doesn’t please fans.
Amid a host of speculation, Arsenal supporters have grouped together on social media following the latest instalment of transfer news.

Arsenal fans urge Mikel Arteta to sign Mathys Tel after transfer update
As striker targets come and go, Arsenal are running out of time and options to sufficiently recruit this winter.
With the option of a Premier League loan out of the picture, the Gunners are most likely to look abroad at loan options, with the perfect opportunity now presented to Arteta.
Teenage Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel could be a strong loan option for Arsenal, a thought that has gathered pace with the latest update.
On X, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Tel ‘has just decided to leave’ the Bundesliga giants this month, opening the doors to a new adventure.
Arsenal fans swarmed around the news, with plenty calling on Arteta and the club’s hierarchy to react.
“Loan with option. We need to act quickly,” a fan said, as another agreed by saying, “We should be ALL over this.”
Tel, who contributed to 16 goals for Bayern in 2023/24, is said to be eyed by several clubs, including Chelsea.
“Bring me Tel man, I’ll go insane if Chelsea get their greedy hands on him,” a passionate Arsenal supporter said, while others stated they’d go ‘crazy’ for the transfer.
“Mathys Tel is available. I would go crazy if Arsenal say they didn’t find a player that could contribute. He could be an insane buy. Ask for an initial loan if anything.”
Arsenal have also been linked to Evan Ferguson, who could leave Brighton this month, sparking more inspiration within the fanbase.
“Arsenal should just sign Tel + Ferguson and call it a day. There’s no way you can pass up on this and sign Sterling on loan.”
Others were less dazzled by Ferguson links, claiming that Tel would be the better option.
“Mathys Tel is available Arsenal should get a player like that not overpriced Cunha or Vlahovic or Ferguson.”
While plenty of fans were caught in the hysteria of the possible transfer opportunity, others were less optimistic given Arsenal’s track record in the market.
“Mathys Tel is right there and Arsenal are sitting there like bread,” a supporter said, with their opinion reflected by others.
“Tel to Arsenal makes so much sense that the club won’t even be conceiving it as an option.”
How Mathys Tel compares to Arsenal strikers
Tel himself informed Arteta of how good of a fit he’d be for Arsenal when sharing an insight into his favoured role.
“I’m somewhere between a number nine and a left winger. I can also play on the right, but I’m more comfortable as a striker and on the left,” Tel told the Bundesliga official website.

Being a young player with staggering innate ability, Tel could be the versatile forward Arteta is searching for and judging by his numbers, he could certainly add to the current Arsenal squad.
Only time will tell who lands the talented teen this winter, with Arsenal surely needing to be present in the race.
