Arsenal have scouted Rodrigo Mora
According to Football Transfers, Arsenal are leading the race from a number of Premier League rivals to sign Porto ‘wonderkid’ Rodrigo Mora.
The Gunners have sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old at the FIFA Club World Cup and are in pole position for the player as it stands.
Mora is an attacking midfielder that likes to operate in the number ten role but can also feature on both flanks.
He has a contract until 2030 at the Portuguese side and a release clause of €70m, meaning if Arsenal were to beat Ruben Amorim to his signature, a deal would not come cheap.
That may be the stumbling block for any potential deal this summer with Andrea Berta keen to get a number of deals over the line having already secured Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi.
Porto decided against signing Fabio Vieira following his loan spell at the club last season, therefore ruling out a potential swap deal involving the 25-year-old Gunners midfielder.
Rodrigo Mora’s statistics last season
Mora burst onto the scene at Porto during the 2024-25 campaign and has quickly become one of Europe’s hottest properties.
A number of Champions League clubs are also tracking the 18-year-old and it is no wonder after becoming one of Porto’s main attacking threats at such a young age.

Mora also scored for Porto during their Club World Cup clash with Al Ahly before his side fell in the group stage of the competition. His incisive movement and range of passing really caught the eye during the tournament.
With Ethan Nwaneri’s Arsenal future in doubt, Mora could be lined up as the perfect replacement should the Hale End star decide his career path lies elsewhere.
