Arsenal fans are growing increasingly anxious about the North London club’s lack of transfer activity this month.
The Gunners are yet to bolster Mikel Arteta’s depleted squad, and have just a week left to do so.
Sverre Nypan has travelled to England ahead of a potential move to N5, although Manchester City and Manchester United are also interested in the youngster.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Sesko continues to be linked with Arsenal, and Matheus Cunha remains an option for Arteta.
Time is running out and fears are growing that the elusive forward addition will not be made, although David Ornstein may just have calmed a few nerves.

David Ornstein provides positive Arsenal transfer update
If Arsenal don’t make an attacking signing this month, Arteta will be forced to rely upon Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard to fill four spots.
This certainly won’t be sufficient for the Gunners, as they look to chase down Premier League leaders Liverpool.
However, journalist Ornstein has revealed his belief that Arsenal will indeed sign someone in the next seven days.
Speaking to NBC sports, the Athletic reporter said: “I thought Mikel Arteta was quite pointed in his comments to express his desire to bring in a new striker, reinforcements to help them in this second half of the season, and I think they will do something.
“I don’t know for sure, but that’s my sense because work is ongoing inside the club to explore their various options to bring in somebody who Mikel Arteta feels is the right one.
“They will have preferences. There are all manner of factors involved in these decisions in terms of the players that they want, the style of play, the finances involved, whether the player wants to come, whether the club is willing to do business with Arsenal on loan or on a permanent basis.”
January is notoriously a difficult market to operate in, and Ornstein was quick to explain that Arsenal are being cautious about not scuppering summer plans with a rash decision in this window.
“If you bring a player on loan, why are they available on loan now?” he said.
“If they’re available permanently, do you have the money and what ramifications will it have on your summer budget, which will be so important to Arsenal as well.”
While no striker signing appears imminent, Ornstein’s relative confidence that something will ensue will certainly be re-assuring to the Arsenal fanbase.

Arsenal fans are anxious at lack of January transfer activity
As well as Ornstein, former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman believes a striker signing will be made before the window slams shut.
This confidence hasn’t stopped Gunners fans from worrying, however.
Posting on X, one supporter wrote: “Being an Arsenal fan ain’t easy, waking up every morning to check out transfer news and seeing nothing, I’m running out of hope.”
Another wrote: “Going into the seventh week of january and still no Arsenal transfer news.”
Meanwhile, one fan referenced Arsenal’s £100 million outlay on Declan Rice in 2023, stating that they thought this deal would kick-start a new era of outlandish spending at the Emirates.
“After we bought Rice for £100M+, I thought we would be on track to sort out transfers and get what was needed. What a fool i was,” they wrote.
As well as this online discourse, Arsenal fans produced artwork outside the Emirates before the clash with Dinamo Zagreb last week, urging Josh Kroenke to splash the cash immediately.
